Hey! So Glad You're Here.
I am a high school student aspiring to major in Geology, with a particular interest in studying Earth processes through data-driven and quantitative approaches.
What draws me to geology is not only the physical record preserved in rocks, faults, and landscapes, but also the opportunity to interpret these records as parts of dynamic and complex systems. I am especially interested in how geological phenomena—such as seismic activity and crustal deformation—can be better understood through the analysis of observational data and mathematical models.
Through coursework, independent research, and field observations, I have come to see data analysis as a powerful bridge between theory and the natural world. Rather than treating geology and quantitative methods as separate disciplines, I view their integration as essential to answering meaningful questions about Earth’s structure, evolution, and hazards.
This blog serves as a space to document my learning process in geology, including field-based observations, data analysis projects, and reflections on how quantitative tools can deepen our understanding of Earth systems. As I prepare to pursue geology at the university level, I hope this platform will reflect both my curiosity and my commitment to thoughtful, evidence-based inquiry.
